Epoxy Works of Maryland is a family owned and operated concrete coatings company based in Leonardtown. It was launched in 2012 as a branch of Flooring Max, a Southern Maryland design center that has offered decorative concrete coatings since 2003, and it is led by President Pete Griffin Jr.
The crew turns dull, gray or damaged concrete into finished flooring for homes, businesses and industrial spaces, from basements and garages to pool surrounds, offices, restaurants and auto dealerships. Their decorative systems include epoxy flake flooring, Metallic Marble, GRANIFLEX, Rustic Concrete Wood, Grand Flagstone and Tuscan Slate, along with concrete polishing, sealing, resinous flooring and repairs using FLEXKRETE. Finishes are applied by hand rather than stamped, and the team says it spends roughly two thirds of each project on preparing the concrete before any coating goes down.
