Epoxy Floor & Concrete Coating Contractors in Lockhart, Florida

Lockhart is an unincorporated community in northwest Orange County, situated between Apopka, Eatonville and the northern edge of Orlando. It is primarily residential, with established neighborhoods, small lakes and light commercial areas. Wekiwa Springs State Park, with its spring-fed swimming area and canoe runs, is a short drive north, and the Lake Apopka North Shore wildlife area lies to the west.

Like the rest of the Orlando area, Lockhart has hot, humid summers with frequent thunderstorms and mild winters. Sandy soil allows good drainage, but some areas near lakes have higher groundwater, and many homes date from the mid-20th century with older slabs that may need repair. Coatings should be applied over properly ground, repaired and moisture-tested concrete, with UV-stable topcoats for outdoor areas.

• Garages and carports in older single-family homes
• Patios and screened porches
• Workshops and storage buildings
• Small commercial and light industrial floors

Older carports here were often poured without a vapor barrier, so a contractor may recommend a moisture-mitigating primer beneath the color coat. Detached workshops and sheds, common on the larger lots in the area, are good candidates for a heavier, more chemical-resistant system that can handle tools, mowers and spilled fuel.

Lockhart’s location gives homeowners easy access to Orlando-area contractors, many of whom serve the northwest side of the county. When requesting quotes, mention any existing paint or sealer on the floor, since removal affects the price and timeline.
