Epoxy Floor & Concrete Coating Contractors in Arlington Heights, Illinois

Arlington Heights is one of the larger villages in Chicago’s northwest suburbs, best known for Arlington Park, the former horse racing track, and for a walkable downtown with the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, restaurants and the Metra station at its center. Families spend time at Lake Arlington, Recreation Park and the village’s many neighborhood parks run by the Arlington Heights Park District.

Most of the housing here is postwar ranches, Cape Cods and split-levels, plus newer rebuilds and townhomes. Many of these homes have basements and one- or two-car attached garages, and plenty of the original slabs are now decades old. Northern Illinois winters bring snow, ice and heavy road salt, so garage floors often show pitting and flaking where melting slush sat over the years. Basement floors can pick up moisture from the clay soils typical of the area.

Common Projects Around the Village

• Flake garage floors with a polyaspartic topcoat that resists salt, oil and hot-tire marks
• Basement rec rooms and laundry areas finished in solid-color or metallic epoxy
• Sealing or resurfacing of front walks, stoops and patios damaged by de-icers
• Coatings for downtown restaurants, salons and retail spaces

Older garages in Arlington Heights may need crack repair or patching before a new coating goes down, and a reputable installer will grind the surface rather than simply acid-etching it. Ask how the contractor handles moisture testing in basements and whether they use a UV-stable topcoat if the garage door stays open on sunny days.
