Moscow Mills is a growing small city in Lincoln County, on the Cuivre River just south of Troy. It’s close to Cuivre River State Park, one of Missouri’s largest state parks, with rugged, Ozark-like terrain, Lake Lincoln and miles of hiking and equestrian trails. New subdivisions have joined the older town as families move north from St. Charles County, but the area still has plenty of farms and open space.
The Cuivre River valley brings fertile soils that also hold moisture, and low areas can see flooding. Clay and limestone in the hills shift with wet and dry seasons, cracking slabs. Winters bring snow, ice and repeated freeze–thaw cycles, plus salt on the roads. Summer humidity makes concrete floors sweat and can cause mildew in damp spaces.
Families who ride or camp at the state park often store trailers, tack and muddy gear in their garages, so textured topcoats that give boots and hooves grip on wet days are a common request.
Two contractors are listed in Moscow Mills, and others from Troy, Wentzville and O’Fallon travel here as well. Compare the profiles and request a few quotes before deciding.
