Epoxy Floor & Concrete Coating Contractors in Middlesex, New Jersey

Middlesex is a small borough in Middlesex County, located along the Raritan River and bordered by Bound Brook, Piscataway and Green Brook. It is largely residential, with single-family homes, small businesses and parks along the river. The Delaware & Raritan Canal towpath and the Watchung Mountains are nearby for walking and hiking, and the borough’s location gives residents easy access to New Brunswick and Somerville. Its neighborhoods are compact and walkable, with local parks and ball fields scattered throughout.

Middlesex’s housing includes mid-century single-family homes, many with basements and attached or detached garages.

Raritan Valley Conditions

Middlesex Borough lies in the Raritan and Green Brook floodplain, and storms like Hurricane Ida in 2021 pushed water into many basements and garages. Even without flooding, older basements often seep after heavy rain. Winters bring snow and ice, and salt carried in on tires scales bare garage floors over repeated freezes. Moisture testing is essential before any coating here, along with primers built for damp concrete and salt-resistant topcoats in the garage.

• Attached and detached garages
• Patios and walkways with slip-resistant finishes

Choosing a moisture-tolerant system is especially important in this flood-prone area. Many of the borough’s homes have concrete that is several decades old, and a professional grind and coating can restore those floors. The contractor listed on this page serves Middlesex and the surrounding Raritan Valley. Ask about commercial-grade systems if the floor sees heavy use, and get a price.
