Clemmons is a village in western Forsyth County, best known as the home of Tanglewood Park. The park’s golf courses, horse stables, trails and gardens draw visitors all year, and its holiday Festival of Lights is a regional tradition. The Yadkin River forms the village’s western edge, with river access for paddling and fishing, and Winston-Salem’s attractions are just a few minutes east. Clemmons has its own shopping and dining district and quiet, tree-lined neighborhoods that appeal to families and retirees alike.
Most homes here are single-family houses built over the past several decades, many with attached two-car garages and back patios. Larger lots near the river and on the edges of the village often include detached shops and outbuildings.
Clemmons sees hot, humid summers and cooler winters than the eastern Piedmont, with a handful of snow and ice events most years. Freeze–thaw cycles and de-icing salt tracked in on tires can scale bare garage floors. The red clay beneath most neighborhoods expands and contracts with moisture, opening cracks in slabs and sometimes drawing moisture up from below. A contractor should grind the floor, repair cracks and test for moisture before installing an epoxy or polyaspartic system, and UV-stable topcoats belong on anything exposed to the sun.
The installer listed here covers Clemmons and the surrounding parts of Forsyth and Davie counties. Contact them to talk through your floor and get a quote.
