Epoxy Floor & Concrete Coating Contractors in Hickory, North Carolina

Hickory sits in the Catawba Valley at the edge of the Blue Ridge foothills, and it has long been one of the furniture capitals of the country. Lake Hickory, part of the Catawba River chain, offers boating and waterfront living, while Lenoir-Rhyne University, the Hickory Museum of Art and the Hickory Crawdads minor-league baseball team give the city plenty of activity. Bakers Mountain Park has the highest point in Catawba County and trails through the woods. Nearby Hickory Motor Speedway, one of the oldest short tracks in the country, adds a dose of racing history to the area.

Foothills Climate

Hickory gets hot, humid summers and cooler winters than Charlotte, with a handful of snow and ice events each year. Freeze–thaw cycles and road salt can damage bare garage floors, while red clay soils move with moisture and crack slabs. Industrial buildings often have older concrete with oil stains and wear. Grinding, crack repair and a moisture test are key steps before any coating.
