Epoxy Floor & Concrete Coating Contractors in Kettering, Ohio

Kettering is a large suburb immediately south of Dayton, named for inventor Charles F. Kettering, who developed the electric self-starter for automobiles. The city’s Fraze Pavilion hosts outdoor concerts all summer at Lincoln Park Civic Commons, and its parks, recreation complex and well-kept neighborhoods have made it a popular place for families. Kettering Health’s main medical campus is here, and Delco Park and the trails of the Five Rivers MetroParks are close by.

A big share of Kettering’s homes were built in the 1950s and 1960s, during the postwar boom tied to Dayton’s auto and defense industries. Many are ranches and split-levels with basements and attached or detached garages, and their original slabs often show decades of wear. Southwest Ohio’s winters bring ice, snow and freeze-thaw cycles, and the region’s clay soils mean basements can carry moisture. Grinding, crack repair and a coating system with a moisture-tolerant primer and polyaspartic topcoat bring these floors back to life.

Kettering Projects

• Garages on mid-century ranches and split-levels with worn original concrete
• Basements turned into family rooms, workshops or home offices
• Patios and walkways that need resurfacing or sealing
• Medical, office and retail floors in the city’s commercial areas

Look through the Kettering contractors listed here, compare their services and photos, and request estimates. Ask how they handle cracks and old sealers, which are common on floors this age.
