Epoxy Floor & Concrete Coating Contractors in Northfield, Ohio

Northfield is a small village in northern Summit County, between Cleveland and Akron. It is best known as the home of MGM Northfield Park, a harness racing track and casino that draws visitors from across northeast Ohio. Cuyahoga Valley National Park lies just to the west, with the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail, Brandywine Falls and miles of trails, and the surrounding communities of Northfield Center, Sagamore Hills and Macedonia make up a largely residential area.

Northeast Ohio Winters

Northfield’s winters are long and snowy, with lake-effect bands sometimes reaching this far south and steady salting of local roads. Freeze-thaw cycles break down unprotected concrete, and salty slush pooled on garage floors leaves pitting and white stains behind. The area’s clay soils and creek valleys can keep basements damp. A coating system with a moisture-tolerant primer, broadcast flake and a polyaspartic topcoat seals garages against salt and gives them a slip-resistant, easy-to-clean surface.

Northfield-area homeowners and businesses commonly coat:

• Attached and detached garages on homes in the village and surrounding townships
• Basements used for living space, storage or workshops
• Commercial and hospitality floors that need to handle heavy foot traffic
• Steps, porches and walkways that need protection from de-icers
