Epoxy Floor & Concrete Coating Contractors in Tumwater, Washington

Tumwater, just south of Olympia, was the first American settlement on Puget Sound. Tumwater Falls Park follows the Deschutes River as it tumbles toward Capitol Lake, and the historic brewery buildings above the falls are a landmark of the city’s brewing past. Tumwater Historical Park preserves early homes, and the city has embraced that heritage with a craft brewing and distilling district. Olympia Regional Airport and growing business parks are also in Tumwater.

The South Sound’s wet, mild climate keeps concrete damp for much of the year. Older homes near the river may have moisture issues, while newer subdivisions on the south side have attached garages and covered patios. Commercial and industrial buildings near the airport and freeway need floors that stand up to traffic and spills.

Tumwater Projects

• Garages in newer neighborhoods across the city
• Craft brewing, distilling and food production floors
• Warehouse and light industrial floors near the airport
• Covered patios and walkways needing slip-resistant textures

Older homes near the river and the historic district may have basements or ground-level rooms that need moisture control before any decorative coating is applied.

For brewing and production spaces, urethane cement systems resist hot water, sugars and cleaning chemicals far better than ordinary epoxy. Homeowners usually opt for flake garages that hide dirt. Moisture testing is a good first step in any case. Look through the contractors listed for Tumwater and Thurston County, and request estimates.
