Epoxy Floor & Concrete Coating Contractors in Hueytown, Alabama

Hueytown is a Jefferson County city west of Birmingham, with roots in the region’s steel industry. It is also famous in racing circles as the home of the Alabama Gang, the group of NASCAR drivers including Bobby and Donnie Allison, Davey Allison and Neil Bonnett, who made the town a stock car legend. Today, Hueytown is a mostly residential community of established neighborhoods, parks and churches, close to Bessemer and the western Birmingham suburbs.

Older Neighborhoods, Southern Weather

Hueytown’s ridges and valleys sit on red clay and rocky soils over sandstone and shale. Clay swells and shrinks with the seasons, cracking older driveways and garage floors, and homes on slopes may have basements that stay damp. Summers are hot and humid, winters are mild with a few hard freezes, and spring storms can be heavy.

• Garages and carports at mid-century homes, repaired and coated with decorative flake
• Basements in hillside homes, primed for moisture before coating
• Workshops and hobby garages for racing and car enthusiasts
• Small commercial and retail floors along the main corridors

Older slabs often need grinding and crack repair before coating, and moisture testing is important for basements. Polyaspartic topcoats resist hot-tire pickup and UV fading. Contractors serving Bessemer and Birmingham may also cover Hueytown. Compare the companies listed here, ask about their prep process for aging concrete, and request estimates.
