Epoxy Floor & Concrete Coating Contractors in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Chapel Hill is home to the University of North Carolina, the nation’s first public university, and its campus with the Old Well, the Morehead Planetarium and Kenan Stadium is the heart of the town. Franklin Street is lined with restaurants, bookstores and shops, and the North Carolina Botanical Garden offers trails and native plant collections. Jordan Lake and the Eno River are nearby, and the town’s tree-lined neighborhoods have a mix of historic and modern homes. Neighboring Carrboro adds its own music venues and farmers market to the mix.

Chapel Hill’s housing includes historic homes near campus, mid-century neighborhoods and newer developments, along with plenty of student and rental housing.

Piedmont Conditions

Chapel Hill’s red clay soils swell and shrink, cracking slabs and sometimes allowing moisture to rise through floors. Hot, sticky summers and mostly gentle winters, broken up by the odd ice storm, round out the picture. Many older homes have aging concrete in garages, basements and patios. Grinding, crack repair and moisture testing prepare the floor for a durable coating.

Chapel Hill Projects

• Garages and basements in older and newer neighborhoods
• Rental and student-housing common areas
• Restaurant and retail floors on Franklin Street
• Lab, office and medical floors with polished concrete or epoxy

With so many tree-shaded lots, outdoor concrete here often stays damp, making sealed and slip-resistant finishes a good fit. The contractor listed here serves Chapel Hill and the surrounding area. Ask how long the floor will need to cure before you park on it, and request a price.
