Epoxy Floor & Concrete Coating Contractors in Elgin, Texas

Elgin, east of Austin, proudly calls itself the Sausage Capital of Texas, a title earned by its long-running smokehouses and meat markets. The town’s historic downtown has rows of restored brick buildings, a reminder that Elgin was also known for its brickworks, and it hosts community festivals throughout the year. Fast growth from the Austin area is now reaching Elgin, bringing new neighborhoods to surround its older streets and farmland.

Elgin sits on Blackland Prairie clay, which expands after rain and shrinks during dry spells. Slabs on that soil move, and cracks show up in garage floors, driveways and patios over time. Summers are hot and sunny, so outdoor surfaces need UV-stable coatings, and winters can bring a few hard freezes. Proper prep, with cracks repaired and the surface ground for a mechanical bond, is the foundation of any coating that lasts in this soil.

• Restaurants, smokehouses and shops downtown that need washable, slip-resistant floors

Food businesses and commercial kitchens need floors that stand up to grease, frequent washing and foot traffic, and seamless epoxy or urethane systems are built for that. Homeowners, meanwhile, often want a clean, bright garage that resists oil and dirt. Contact the contractor listed for Elgin for an estimate and ask about crack repair on clay soil.
