Epoxy Floor & Concrete Coating Contractors in Fenton, Michigan

Fenton sits in southern Genesee County among a cluster of lakes, including Lake Fenton, Silver Lake and Lobdell Lake, and the Shiawassee River flows through its downtown. The historic downtown has been revitalized with restaurants and shops, and the city’s lakefront neighborhoods are popular for boating and swimming in summer. Holly Recreation Area and Seven Lakes State Park are a short drive south.

Lakes, Groundwater and Winter

All that water means many Fenton properties sit on damp ground. Basements and garages can have moisture vapor rising through the slab, which causes poorly chosen coatings to bubble and peel. Freeze–thaw cycles each winter, combined with road salt, damage bare concrete in garages and on driveways. A contractor who tests moisture, grinds the surface and repairs cracks before coating will deliver a much longer-lasting floor.

• Lake-home garages full of boats, jet skis and snowmobiles
• Walkout basements that see wet feet and sand
• Patios, pool decks and dock approaches
• Downtown restaurants and retail spaces

Slip-resistant textures are especially popular around Fenton’s lakes, where patios and lower-level entries stay wet much of the summer. UV-stable polyaspartic topcoats keep outdoor and open-garage floors from yellowing in the sun.

Many homeowners also store trailers and recreational equipment in their garages over the winter, so a durable, chemical-resistant surface helps with fuel and oil drips.
